Our Story

Handcrafted desserts made entirely from scratch by a Le Cordon Bleu trained pastry chef.

Why Oh Misu

Oh Misu because we believe the best desserts are built on integrity and technical expertise. Founded by Disha Gouti, a Le Cordon Bleu trained pastry chef with a degree in Food Science, our kitchen combines scientific precision with artisanal heart.

We refuse to take shortcuts — from baking our own ladyfinger biscuits to crafting our own pralines in-house, every component is made entirely from scratch. By using only the highest quality products and a lot of love, we bring a boutique philosophy to Kolkata where every bite reflects a genuine dedication to the craft.

Oh Misu kitchen — Disha Gouti Le Cordon Bleu — Disha Gouti

The story of Oh Misu began when our founder, Disha Gouti, started baking at the age of fifteen. What began as a personal passion soon grew into the Sunday Bake Club, where weekend bake sales and exhibitions provided the first opportunity to share handcrafted pastries.

Driven by a fascination with the science of baking, Disha earned a degree in Food Science and Nutrition Management, later working in professional hotel kitchens to master the inner workings of the industry.

To further refine her craft, Disha moved to London to earn a Diploma in Patisserie from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. This journey from a scientific foundation to classical French training was fuelled by a dream to create a space where quality and precision come first.

The name Oh Misu was inspired by the love shown for her signature Tiramisu — a dessert where every element, including the ladyfinger biscuits, is made entirely from scratch.

"At Oh Misu, we believe that shortcuts are visible in the final taste. That is why we use only high-quality ingredients and prepare everything by hand with a lot of love."
